Official Statement on Charlie Kirk’s Death

Today, I am deeply saddened and outraged by the senseless shooting that claimed the life of Charlie Kirk, a husband, father, and national voice for young conservatives. He is someone that inspired many to join the grassroots conservative movement.

There is no justification for violence against a fellow American. In our republic, we may disagree passionately on politics and policy, but those disagreements must always be addressed through dialogue.

My thoughts and prayers are with Charlie’s family during this difficult time and also with Turning Point, USA. May this tragedy inspire young conservatives not to be silenced but to engage in dialogue.
